Refund policy

At Moonlit Scrolls, every order is carefully curated, packed, and prepared with care. Due to the nature of our products, many items are considered final sale. Please review our policy before placing your order.

FINAL SALE ITEMS

The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Books
  • Special editions
  • Preorders
  • Special-order titles
  • Blind Date With a Book bundles
  • Candles
  • Bookish merchandise
  • Stickers, bookmarks, and paper goods
  • Sale or clearance items

Preorders and specially ordered items are ordered specifically for customers and cannot be canceled, returned, or refunded once placed.

DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within:

  • 5 days of delivery for books
  • 7 days of delivery for non-book merchandise

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

If approved, Moonlit Scrolls may offer:

  • A replacement item
  • Store credit
  • A refund at our discretion

WHAT QUALIFIES AS BOOK DAMAGE?

Because books pass through publishers, distributors, shipping carriers, and handling before reaching customers, minor cosmetic wear may occur and is considered normal.

We generally consider the following as damage:

  • Large crushed or dented corners
  • Torn or missing pages
  • Major spine tears
  • Significant cover damage
  • Water damage
  • Severe printing defects

The following are generally NOT considered damage:

  • Minor shelf wear
  • Small corner dings
  • Slight creasing or spine indentation
  • Slightly uneven sprayed edges
  • Minor printing variances
  • Wavy pages not caused by water damage

Unless otherwise stated, books sold by Moonlit Scrolls are not considered collector-grade condition.

LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

Moonlit Scrolls is not responsible for lost or stolen packages marked as delivered by the shipping carrier.

If your package appears lost in transit, please contact us and we will do our best to assist with filing a carrier claim when applicable.

RETURNED PACKAGES

Orders returned to Moonlit Scrolls due to:

  • Incorrect addresses
  • Insufficient address information
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Refused delivery

may be eligible for store credit minus shipping costs.

Customers are responsible for any additional reshipping fees.

ORDER CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

We cannot guarantee order edits or cancellations once an order has been placed.
